IBM has introduced “Granite 3.0,” its latest AI model tailored for businesses pursuing generative AI capabilities.

Unlike some competitors, IBM offers Granite 3.0 as open-source, enabling organizations to adapt and customize the model to meet specific business needs. This approach provides companies with greater flexibility and control over how they leverage AI.

To support companies in implementing Granite 3.0, IBM also offers a paid Watsonx service, which facilitates the deployment of these AI models within a company’s infrastructure. This service allows for data privacy and in-house customization, enabling enterprises to optimize the AI according to their unique operational demands.

The Granite 3.0 model is now commercially available on the Watsonx platform, with additional access through Nvidia’s AI software suite, providing businesses the option to utilize Nvidia’s advanced tools.

IBM’s collaboration with Nvidia, leveraging its H100 GPUs, has enhanced the model’s performance, aligning with IBM’s goal to deliver robust and scalable AI tools for a competitive market.
